Submarine cables in this region contribute to a mesh of redundant paths that keep internet traffic flowing even when individual systems are damaged or under maintenance. This cable is part of GeoCables' continuous monitoring program — RIPE Atlas probes measure latency around the clock, flagging anomalies when RTT deviates significantly from established baselines.
