Caucasus Cable System

Caucasus Cable System is a point-to-point submarine cable linking Bulgaria and Georgia. Landing at Balchik, Poti, it provides a direct fiber-optic path between the two countries, serving as both a primary data route and a redundancy option for neighboring cable systems. As an intercontinental system, Caucasus Cable System plays a role in the global mesh of over 500 submarine cables that collectively carry more than 95% of international data traffic. Real-time monitoring by GeoCables compares current latency measurements from RIPE Atlas probes against baseline data to identify anomalies on this cable route.
