How to cite

Our own measurements and analysis are licensed CC BY 4.0: free for news, research and commercial use with attribution. Country outage charts are built on connectivity data from IODA (Georgia Tech), credited on each event page: please keep that credit next to ours. Cable names and routes on our maps come from a third-party industry inventory, so credit us for the measurements and analysis only.
What the numbers mean
The outage depth is the share of networks in the country that stopped answering, not the share of people. A short outage of a large provider can matter more than a long one of many small networks. How we measure: methodology.
